Sunderland: New River Wear Bridge

New River Wear Bridge

Sunderland council commissioned JK to advise on the impact of a new bridge on the neighbouring property. JK compared the impact of bridges around the world on their neighbouring property market to show that a bridge of good quality design enhanced the development gain of the surrounding neighbourhood compared to that of a basic design bridge. The report of JK was included in the case to government seeking approval to expenditure at a time of reduced public spending. The bridge is likely to be open by 2015.
