Lease Renewal- Newcastle Drum Centre- Huge Financial Saving!
JK were appointed by Christine Pearson, Managing Director of Newcastle Drum Centre to negotiate a new lease on her premises at Akenside Hill. The Drum Centre were occupying numbers 9, 10 and 12 but were bursting at the seams and also looking to expand into further accommodation. It was fortunate that number 14 was also available and which they were able to move into.
In rent and service charge, the landlord asked for a shade over £25,000 per year. JK knew that with careful negotiation, this amount could be reduced. The eventual result was a much reduced amount of £10,000 per year for rent and service charge. This is a saving of £45,000 over the 3 years of the lease.
Christine Pearson of Newcastle Drum Centre commented about JK “The quality of service is excellent, they not only dealt with my contract issues quickly and efficiently but also saved me a great deal of money. Don't look on their fee as a cost - it's an investment.”
